| I am the shadow upon your wall at the strike of midnight’s hour, the silent whispers that scream within your head. I am a fleeting glance, a breathe lost, a memory forgotten… the chaos that screams at your very core. I am you, I am everyone; yet, I am only me. Emotions are vastly over-rated. When it comes to the very core of our existence, our only care is that of ourselves… welcome to human nature 101. Shall our hearts be our downfall… I am rather straight-forward, ‘blunt’ for lack of a better word. I have a great tendency to state what I feel/think as I feel/think it. I do not indulge in the act of sugar-coating things for the benefit of others. Censorship is best kept in 1984. I can be your closest of friends (IF I deem you worthy), or your most loathed of enemies—the choice is, ultimately, yours. Tread forth as you so desire. I have a set of moral concepts that I hold with an iron fist. It is not upon the desires of others for me to deviate from such—that choice will be my own, and mine alone. So, you need not even bother considering that you can change who I am, or who I choose to be. You would merely be wasting your time; though, if have you time to spare, enjoy the ride. I am sick and tired of dead-end relationships… be that relationship with a significant other or those that claim to be a ‘friend’. Cast me aside and let me live in peace, overlook me if all you come with is drama. I do not stand for lying, not even in the slightest degree… white lies are STILL lies. And, I do not stand for the disloyal. Honesty, loyalty, and respect… what else is there to life. It is from these traits that love derives, and from the lack of them that love flees. Life is far too short for trivial games and undue drama. I abhor stupidity! Now, I realize that many are not as intellectually gifted—and, that is fine by me; though, when you choose to be an idiot, you need not bother to attempt to associate with me. As a leader and a teacher, I am more than willing to assist people along their paths IF they truly seek assistance. However, if you are content with your sheltered ignorance, don’t hope to stick around for very long… not around me at least. My life and my goals are set. Clearly set! And, if you wish to be a part of my life, then you will both understand and respect this. I am more than willing to carry others to the top with me; though, if I feel that you only hinder my ascension, I will surely drop you back to where I once found you. I know what I want, I know what I must do to obtain it, and I will have it. It is as simple as that. I think that it was once best said as following; LEAD, follow, or get the hell out of the way! |
